Last couple of years the digital camera market is changing. The compact camera market is stable with no real innovative or remarkable changes in design, technique or operation. The DSLR market, however, is growing and changing due to the new system cameras that in most times replace the traditional digital SLR camera. The camera systems from ‘new’ players are successful and conquer valued market share from established traditional photo manufacturers. New designs and innovative operations attract not only professional photographers but also the amateur consumer, or the mass market. High quality photography and, with the upcoming HD video features, high quality video is available to everyone. Video will play a more important role in digital photography.
