Report CES 2011 Show - Samsung announced the launch of the latest model in its camcorder portfolio, the new Samsung HMX-Q10 camcorder. The new Samsung HMX-Q10 has been designed to highlight Samsung’s full HD camcorder technology with a BSI CMOS sensor, and makes recording movies easier than ever before, using ground-breaking technology and smart features such as its innovative Switch Grip technology. As a new addition to the Samsung line-up for 2011, the HMX-Q10’s Easy Operation and Smart Access user interface (UI) makes Samsung’s innovations in video capture more accessible than ever, allowing everyone to record excellent quality video.
Samsung announce three new stylish, ergonomi-cally designed compact digital camcorders which come fully equipped with an array of useful features. The SMX-C20, SMX-C24 and HMX-M20 all feature the same built-in 25 degree Active Angle Lens that was the hallmark design feature of their predecessors - the SMX-C10 and HMX-R10. Samsung’s innovative Active Angle Lens allows consumers to hold the camera more naturally, and has earned Samsung design awards and accolades from all over the world since first appearing in the SMX-C10 and HMX-R10 last year. The SMX-C20, SMX-C24 and HMX M20 will be on display during the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10, 2010.
Samsung introduces its new S-Series of full HD digital camcorders, the world’s first to include built-in Wi-Fi and DLNA connectivity. Comprising three new models, the HMX-S10, HMX-S15 and HMX-S16, the new S Series are also the highest performing full-HD camcorders in Samsung’s history. All three new camcorders incorporate Samsung’s proprietary new Victoria Engine processor and a cutting-edge 1/2.3 inch BSI (Back Side Illumination) CMOS imaging sensor which combine to yield outstanding image quality and low-light performance. The HMX-S10, HMX-S15 and HMX-S16 will be on display during the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10, 2010, in the Samsung booth in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Samsung extends its popular F-Series of compact camcorders with the addition of three new ultra-zoom, YouTube compatible models, the SMX-F40, SMX-F43, and SMX-F44. Building on the success of the company’s highly popular SMX F34 camcorder, the next-generation F-Series offers users additional features and functionality, including extended battery life and Samsung’s 65x Intelli Zoom. Samsung introduces four new full-HD digital camcorders, the HMX-H200, HMX-203, HMX-H204 and HMX-H205. Samsung Electronics unveils the SMX-F34, the company’s next generation YouTube compatible compact digital camcorder. Building on the success of the company’s well-received SC-MX20 camcorder, the SMX F34 offers users additional features and functionality, including built-in memory, digital still photo capability, and Samsung’s 42x Intelli-Zoom. Significantly more reliable than a standard digital zoom which negatively affects the quality of the image, Samsung’s new Intelli-Zoom allows users to go beyond the camcorder’s 34x optical zoom without sacrificing image quality. The Samsung SMX-F34 features a memory card slot for SD/SDHC and also offers 16GB of internal flash memory.
Samsung Electronics America extended its family of full-HD digital camcorders with four new models - the HMX-H106, HMX-H105, HMX-H104, and HMX-H100. Samsung’s new H-Series offer users high-performance, full HD video, a renowned Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan HD lens with Optical Image Stabilization, and industry leading design; however, most notable is the use of internal Solid State Drives to provide onboard memory. The Samsung HMX-H106 is Samsung’s new flagship full-HD digital camcorder, the world’s first to feature an internal 64GB Solid State Drive (SSD). Samsung’s renowned SSD technology offers a substantial advantage over the use of Hard Disk Drives (HDD) in a digital camcorder.
